Starting Out the Fitness Program

When can I expect to start a fitness exercise program?

If you're under-fit and overweight, you're in the perfect place to begin.

The fitness programs disscussed on this site, would be easier to do if you have a base level of fitness, from doing some kind of fitness activity for 3-6 months (whether it's walking every day or working out a few times a week). If you have been a couch potato for the last year or so then enter into exercise very lightly! You can adjust this program to suit you, but you may want to improve your base fitness with four weeks of powerwalking and jogging before you start.

The fitness routines or programs are appropriate for all sorts of fitness levels and body type, because you set your own intensity levels and learn how to adapt diet and weight, according to whether you want to burn fat or build muscle.

But play safe. See your doctor before you start if:

  • You are overweight: Your doctor can check if you have heart or other problems that could be made worse by exercise.

  • You have high blood pressure: Hypertension is the biggest cause of stroke and heart disease, but it usually shows no symptoms. Regular exercise is an effective way of lowering blood pressure, but it is essential you do it with medical supervision.

  • You have an irregular heartbeat, or if your heart rate takes a long time to return to normal after physical exertion such as climbing stairs.

  • You have a history of high cholesterol or any medical conditions that might affect your ability to do intense training.

Some Questions answered with Fitness Program:

Q. Do you drag yourself out of bed every morning, and long to bounce out of bed instead?

A. The Body Challenge will give you energy to spare.

Q. Do you dress to cover your physical shortcomings, rather than being able to wear anything?

A. The Body Challenge will give you your best body whatever your physical type: making you fitter, leaner, firmer and stronger. Geri Halliwell, Halle Berry and Pear Brosnan all do the same basic training, but altering weights and repetitions according to whether they want to slim down, or muscle up.

Q. Do you want to feel 'fit enough'- whether you're running after children, footballs or deadlines?

A. The Body Challenge will give you explosive power and stamina.

Q. Do you want to be able to keep fit wherever you are?

A. The exercises or workouts discussed in the fitness workouts section are not any new exercises, they have been done from years now. They work because they are high impact and efficient, using multiple body parts- and you can incorporate them into your every day life, wherever you are.
